Global warming, scam of the century...............

Roy's Diary of Deceit

This started as just a few comments but has now become an ongoing blog.

I don't just intend to knock this completely unproven crackpot theory down, but in true west midlands style, put the boot well and truly in when it is down.

I have to apologise for going off on this but in all honesty I believe that "man made climate change" is not only the biggest load of pure tosh, but the biggest con trick of all times. At the end of the day, its OUR money.

There are so many people on this bandwagon.

From 2007 diary

I was down Cornwall this Easter as usual, and visited yet again one of my favourite places, Cot Valley, St Just. The seaward end, Porth Nanven, is a site of special scientific interest. The cliffs her are of enormous geological interest, and there is an interpretation board there for the benefit of visitors.

"The effects of global warming and climate change stretching back for 120,000 years". Err isn't this something that we are supposed to have caused, with our cars and all that?

There is a documentary that was shown on Channel 4 "The Great Global Warming Swindle", which kind of took the lid off all this. Its interesting viewing. If you save the above image to your hard drive you will be able to open it in Windows and use the zoom to read what is says. The white mark is a footprint where someone has tried to damage it, the actual truth that "man made climate change" is a load of pure tosh causes some people to go hysterical.

As it appears we are living in interesting times, I am starting a chronicle of events here that should make interesting reading.

Easter  2008

Its gone! Smashed up! I wonder why?

Whoever did it is wasting their time anyway as it will be the weather itself that has the last word. We can all see where that's going, April this year saw the lowest average temperature ever recorded in Cornwall. Spring holiday Monday was the worst I have ever seen, I had a gortex outdoor coat on, the real McCoy, and I was shivering. More and more people are now regarding the whole thing with increasing scepticism, and there is jack that 'they' can do about it!

February 2009

After the big January freeze up I am now like a prisoner in my own home with nearly a foot of snow outside. The government seems to be unprepared for this, I wonder why.

Maybe listening to the 'carbon conmen' instead of real scientists.

Cant the weather be politically incorrect?

Thursday July 2 2009

Hottest day since the end of 2006, remember, the last hot summer we had?

OK, hottest day, just one single day in a so far at least, cold summer. Just like the last 2.

However, the fellow traveller in the form of the ITV news reporter was right on cue. "In Birmingham temperatures went into the 40s" he gushed at the camera.

"Look, here is a thermometer", (no flies on this guy)

"Its reading 42 degrees centigrade" said he picking it up off a pavement heated up by the sun enough to fry an egg. Should have filmed it after that, but while it was still hot. Kind of gave the game away. Oh well, maybe he isn't that sharp after all.

Isn't it easy to make facts fit a theory?

29th July 2009

The met Office issues a rethink on its predicted summer heat wave, admits that:

"seasonal forecasting was still in its infancy - a cross between climate change prediction and tomorrow's weather forecast. "

Not difficult to see where they are going wrong.

My comment posted to a BBC website:

The Met office are committed to propping up the theory of anthropogenic climate change for which the general public has a growing scepticism, understandable after the last cold summers and the hard winter we had.

Climate warming is now in reversal, and there nothing that the ‘pushers’ of this theory can do about it, except sit back and watch it all collapse like a house of cards.

If you want real science, as apposed to politically correct junk science, try this link, the website of Dr Piers Corbin "Weather Action"  acclaimed for the accuracy of its forecasting. Pity the Met Office didn't try asking Dr Piers.

Here is a quote:

"Whatever may have seemed plausible 10 years ago Global Warming is over and there is no evidence that CO2 ever was, is or will be a driver of world temperatures or Climate Change - indeed evidence is the relationship is more the other way around"

And here is the link:

December 2009

After a mild start the sub zero temperatures are now setting in a week before Christmas with severe snow disruption in some parts of the country.

I am awaiting the outcome of the Copenhagen conference on climate change

Inconveniently timed, the Daily Express has run an article on "100 reasons why climate change is natural", here is the link:

And another

To make matters worse, it appears that the Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia who provide data to the Met Office have been cooking the figures in order to prop the theory up in the face of mounting scepticism. It appears from some leaked emails that the Hadley people have been 'cherry picking' their temperature figures. I bet they collected some good Christmas Boxes for their efforts.

and here is the result:

December 12th 2009

"Next year could be the warmest year on record, the Met Office said as officials at UN talks in Copenhagen continued negotiations in a bid to secure a new deal to tackle climate change.

The forecast from climate scientists said a combination of man-made global warming and a weather pattern - known as El Nino - heating the Pacific Ocean would make it very likely that 2010 would be warmer than 2009. "

Well that would not take much doing would it, but lets just wait and see what happens, what they have said is on record now isn't it, and guess who's website will be throwing this sh*t back in their faces!

I think that they are drinking at the chance saloon here.

I have just taken a look at website of the Mad Mullah of the New Age Green Religion, George Monbiot, I use this label not as a personal attack on this gentleman, but because I seriously question his sanity.

This is a link to his own website, the page features an article he wrote for the Guardian:

Take a look for yourself, it was published on the 23rd November 2009. The serious question that people such as the Guardian who employ him as a journalist aught to ask is whether this man is playing the game with a full deck?

He probably has a wide readership, but for what he would consider to be the wrong reason.

A source of amusement.

Christmas 2009

North America suffering unprecedented snow blizzards, most of Europe affected.

Oh Dear

December 27th 2009

Email sent to ****

Hi ****

Just a warning, Tuesday may have to be cancelled.

Very heavy snow forecast for midlands and heavy rain for Bath. If the met office has their computer models running 2 degrees too high due to the global warming crap they put into the system, the heavy rain could actually be heavy snow. I had to come back from high peak today early.

I will wait and see. What time you will be up on Tuesday morning, if it’s early I could ring you if I can’t get out of my drive.

December 28th 2009 2100 hrs

Met office Weather

BATH: Monday Night, Heavy Snow

I read their tealeaves!

Some other thoughts:

Is there a conspiracy of some kind behind this, NO.

Basically, since the theory of CO2 influencing out climate first evolved, it has continuously gained momentum, basically, its generated this itself. It is a fact that we have been subjected to a whole series of scares ranging from salmonella eggs through AIDS and bird flue to the latest swine flue 'imminent pandemic' where about 300 people have died compared to the 3000 who usually die from normal flue at this time of year. I have no doubt that people are making a lot of money out of all this.

The thing about the theory of CO2 driven climate change is that a whole industry has sprung up around it with no one involved wanting to see the end of the gravy train. Other considerations are that this theory does actually do some good, such as new standards for home insulation to mention just one.

Since the demise of the Soviet Union there has been no counter balance to capitalism, as a result of this we had the Enron business, and later the banking crisis. Many may well see the theory as the only restraint that is left to control runaway capitalism and the excesses of mankind. The only problem is a lie even a 'noble lie' eventually will fail, and the longer it persists the more it will bring down with it.

Alice in Wonderland?

From BBC website:

Carbon prices in Europe dropped to a six-month low after agreements made at the Copenhagen climate summit to cut emissions disappointed traders.

The accord signed by the US, China and emerging major economies is weaker than a legally binding agreement.

Because of this the European Union says it is not willing to raise its carbon cutting target to 30% by 2020.

In early market trading, EU allowances for December 2010 delivery, dropped 8.7% to €12.40 a tonne.

Time to get your money out and out it into some other growth non industry such as Health and Safety or Race Relations?

January 4th 2010

Yes, I have this to a fine art now, so pay attention.

Met Office forecast mid Wales over Sunday night was minimum temperature of -9 centigrade. Adjust for bogus CO2 driven global warming in their computers and look:

"The lowest temperature recorded on Sunday night was -14.0C in Eskdalemuir, south west Scotland, while the mercury dipped to -12.6C in Sennybridge in mid Wales. " (source BBC)

My system is Met office forecast less 2 degrees, to adjust for their error. This can make the difference between rain and snow so is an important influence.

I will be posting more on this as time goes by.

5th January 2010

Total chaos, country coming to a standstill with ice and snow.

Just been given this link, its worth seeing trust me.

I have just been following some of the other similar links on youtube, I recommend that whoever reads this does the same. It appears that there is "climategate" scandal blowing up in the USA. The war is about to hot up.

6th January 2010

Just gone into 'climategate' a little deeper, it seems that NASA have been up to the same tricks as our Climatic Research Unit. Many are calling for an inquiry.

Last night news showed trains buried in snowdrifts in China, cold damp weather in India of places, plus some footage from Europe. So its not just here, its everywhere over the world.

There is an old Chinese proverb:

"May you live in interesting times"

8th January 2010

I have just posted on the mine-explorer website on this, and cannot deprive my readers of what I said. The last bit is a bit, well, humorous.  The thing about CO2 pushers equally applies to political correctness pushers, they have absolutely no sense of humour. They are welcome to their grey featureless world and can rot in it for me. Anyway, here is the posting:

I didn't want to get drawn in, because there are more fallings out over politics and religion than anything else, and I have no doubt that CO2 and climate change have become the new age religion of the 20th century.

Consider this.

Every religion from the beginnings of time including the ‘graven images’ thing has had the essential ingredients of sin, atonement and guilt.

Modern technology gives us many modern comforts, and with it the instinctive need to feel guilty in some way.

And the need to be ‘punished in some way. Take 50 ‘lashes’/ ‘Hail Mary’s’/Speed Bumps or whatever.

Add the demonisation of popular demons, such as oil companies and Hey Presto, you have the sexiest, most appealing religion you can think of.

 Problem is, its all bollocks.

Its has taken scientific facts and twisted it into an unrecognisable form, but here are a few anyway, and see if it supports this crackpot theory.

#1 CO2 is a naturally occurring gas, its what we breathe out when we exhale, and is also produced naturally by decomposing vegetable matter. The biggest natural producer is rain forests.

#2 It is essential in our atmosphere. Plants and all green things need this as a food gas to photosynthesise it into carbon and oxygen, the carbon is used for growth for the plant, and oxygen which is put out for the benefit of the animal kingdom, so green things are essential for animal life to survive on this planet.

#3 The percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere is very slight, about 0.046%

#4 The production of greenhouse gasses are conductive to global warming, but CO2 is a HEAVY gas, as well know all too well.

#5 FACT. Climate change has been going on for 120,000 years, we went through an ice age and also a post mediaeval warm period. Coal was formed when primeval rain forests became buried as the climate of our earth changed. These are all facts that can not be altered.

These 5 are off the top of my head, I am not a scientist, and the Daily Express recently published 100 that had been prepared by a real scientist.

So desperate are the pushers of this idea that they are not only changing scientific data to suit their purpose but threatening people who disagree with them. The Institute of Climate Studies at East Anglia University recently had their emails hacked. Basically they use something that they call “the trick” to alter data, another email threatens to “smash the head in” of an American scientist who disagrees with them.

Those who are sceptical are referred to a “denialist” a clears attempt to align them with holocaust deniers, or even “heretic”, a label which I take pride in wearing.

Film footage has been shown on TV attempting to appeal to peoples emotions, dying seals and stranded polar bears. Typical was a picture of a polar bear ‘stranded’ on a piece of ice because of the melting glaziers.

Err, polar bears can swim, but if it supports the CO2 theory they would make out that fish could not swim.

The picture was actually 2.5 years old and taken by a lady who gave it to somebody and was passed around until it fell into the hands of Al Gore, who not slow see an opportunity used it.

The lady who took it is very upset, there are interviews on the web with here and there was plenty of ice as that was exactly what she was standing on when she took the picture of bear, about 20 yards away.

January 13 2010

Met office forecast drizzle, what we get is snow. Remember my 2 degree 'adjustment'

On a more serious note, a major earthquake in Haiti.

Scientists, err real scientists have reckoned for some time that earthquakes can be triggered by sun spots or solar activity.

Food for thought

More food for thought. Refer back to my lager inspired joke re Al Gore and Blair.

Blair took us to war on the back of spin and lies. Just exactly what was the deal he struck with Bush?

If something comes out in the inquiry into the Iraq war, I reserve the right to say "I told you so"

OK, its on this record on this website January 13 2010 and there will be more to come, unless I get run over by a truck driven by a "Mr X"

I stand by what I say and am happy to be put on the record as saying this, lets just put our politicians and 'scientists' on the same level.

They both think that ordinary people are stupid. I so NO

People are not as stupid as these assholes think they are, and when the truth comes out, lets go looking for them!!!

We have had the 'expenses' scandal, I think that there is another one coming up.

On a lighter side:

"Thousands gather for global warming protest"

Cant say that I blame them in the circumstances.

On the serious side: From a chain email

Irena Sendler

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior motive' ... She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids..) She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize ... She was not selected.
Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

If I ever get a chance to do it all over again, Gore is a man I would like to do it all over

Jan 19 2010

Things are moving fast, just as I predicted:

"The vice-chairman of the UN's climate science panel admits that it made a mistake in asserting that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035."

Yes, and here is the link to the BBC website:

It seems to me that this s sign of the times whereby people appear to be incapable of just publishing facts and data but perceive the need to 'sex up' everything to the point were it bears no relationship to the original, remember "ready in 45 minutes".

In so doing there is the real risk that scientists and politicians will loose all credibility, something to think about.

February 1 2010

My weekend has been turned upside down by heavy snow in Wales that was not forecasted, 11.00 Sunday Betws -y-coed high street under inches of snow, I decided to go home while I could.

According to the news large areas of Germany under snow and ice, so its not just us that are getting it.

BBC news has interesting article that included a quote from Solitaire Townsend, co-founder of the firm Futerra, a firm that specialises in green public relations.

"For some, this appropriation of religious language and themes reveals the extent to which climate change is, for a section of the green movement, part of a much wider agenda for radical social change.

"Scratch the surface of a lot of greens and you find quite a lot of anger about the way people are," says Solitaire Townsend. "There's a lot of passion to do more than just reduce carbon levels.

"There's always been a part of the environmental movement that has wanted to change who people are, and change society," she argues. "Some greens want to change our relationship with nature and get us interested in consciousness rather than consumption. These are very philosophical messages."

But the missionary zeal of such campaigners is often disguised by their use of science to support their agenda."

It seems to me that we are about to find out what its all REALLY about

February 4 2010

The Empire Strikes Back

David Parker a Met Office research scientist hits back at the sceptics with a statement that in some parts of the world January was warmer than usual and comes up with the load of total tosh this it was only Britain that suffered the cold.

err, David, didn't you see the satellite pictures that showed all of the northern hemisphere under ice?

Off the BBC website:

January was rather cold in the UK. But across the whole of the world, January was warmer than usual. Why?

The article then goes on to contradict itself. Like I said before, do they really think ordinary people are this stupid.

Here is another quote from Gavin Schmidt, a climate scientist at Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

"It is conceivable January will come out very warm," says Dr Schmidt. "The reason why it was warm is mainly because of the El Nino in the Pacific chugging along for about three or four months."

El Nino, which happens every few years, sees a warming of the waters of the equatorial Pacific Ocean, and has far-reaching impacts on the weather worldwide"

I don't think it conceivable that January will come out very warm at all, but then I am not getting anything out of this.

An alternative view

I readily agree that people have just got to be brought out of their wasteful energy wasting lifestyles. People who complain about not having enough money think nothing about leaving a television on for ever although no is actually watching it. We go out and buy, and what we don't use, we throw away.

But its no good trying to change peoples lifestyles on the back of junk science. Its like putting up a building with no foundations, it gets taller and taller and then eventually collapses like a pack of cards. The more it grows, the bigger the crash when it all falls down.

The CO2 driven climate change theory is true to so many people because they desperately WANT it to be true.

February 8 1010

Last Fridays evenings BBC news revealed that in a survey conducted by the BBC now only 26% of people interviewed believe that climate change is happening and it is man made.

Oh Dear

In the meantime, the cold weather is being blamed once again on El Nino effect.

Wasn't this supposed to end in January 2009, hence the Met office forecast of a "barbecue summer"?

Maybe is El Nino II, or son of El Nino, or El Nino: The Resurrection.

From Simon Hoggart of the Guardian, sat Feb 6th:

As a climate change agnostic – and I suspect most of us are, especially now, and more especially after the Guardian series this week – I've been bothered by two aspects of the argument. The first is the religious overtone. Humankind has always wanted to blame its own behaviour for natural events, whether Noah's flood, plagues of frogs, or volcanoes which demonstrate that the gods are angry.

Three years ago a British bishop announced that gay marriage had caused our floods. I've often wondered whether global warming is another example of this, an irrational belief designed for a rationalist world.

And there is an element of religious faith in the true believers. Those who disagree are "deniers", with its echo of fanatics who don't believe in the Holocaust. Years ago I saw a sceptic howled down at a British Association meeting; scientists shouldn't behave like that. If people disagree with you they might not be morally wrong, or agents of Satan. (Or big oil, as the believers often claim.) This ties in with my second worry. Clearly many believers have played fast and loose with the data: since what they believe is true beyond doubt, they have a right – no, a moral duty – to suppress any evidence that might contradict them.

Years ago I co-wrote a book, Bizarre Beliefs, about various crazy things people believe in, such as astrology, the Bermuda Triangle and spiritualism. Most of them generated vast amounts of data from which believers simply cherry-picked whatever suited their case. The world's climate produces millions upon millions of facts and figures, and it's very easy to select the ones that suit you and ignore all the rest.

Of course I don't know who's right. But I'm not surprised to see the true believers struggling.

I find this an excellent summary.

One does sometimes wonder exactly what planet these people are living on, here is my quote of the week from German Socialist deputy Jo Leinena at a recent parliamentary hearing on climate change:

"eating less meat could play a "significant" role in helping combat CO2 emissions"

Well yes Jo, changing to the blue pills from the red ones may help as well.

February 15 2010

Another 'quote of the week'

Professor Phil Jones, who is at the centre of the “Climategate” affair, conceded that "there has been no “statistically significant” rise in temperatures since 1995."

And here is a letter to the Daily Express from Dr Piers Corbin, head of Weather Action.

This has been a hard fight for those of us who have been vilified for years for standing up for evidence based science and accountability in all science and public policies.

The Global Warmers are now re-branding themselves as fast as you can say "Let It snow" but the politicians - and that is ALL the parties - might take a little longer.

We shouldn't let any of them - fraudulent scientists, politicians or fellow travellers - get away with anything. It is up to the public to push forward for truth and accountability as never before. The bankers got away with billions, we cannot allow another robbery of the world public in the name of saving the planet. That would be too much.

1. All fraudster scientists must be sacked and put on trial where appropriate.

2. the IPCC must be closed down and its leadership put on trial.

3. Instead of shovelling money into the fraudulent IPCC and all the insane policies which follow from it resources of the UN should be used to better predict (without CO2!!) and prepare for all natural disasters from floods and hurricanes to earthquakes.
Your readers who follow WeatherAction forecasts know a lot can be done but it has been ignored by politicians all over the world because they prefer to back the tax raising scam of 'Global Warming'.

4. Carbon trading and all CO2 reduction schemes such as wind-farms and 'carbon fixing' must be stopped immediately.

5. All political parties must review their 'Green policies' immediately. We say to them WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANY POLITICIAN WHATEVER PARTY WHO SUPPORTS GLOBAL WARMING & CO2 REDUCTION SCAMS AND TAXES.

6. Don't shop anywhere which urges you to spend money in the name of 'saving the planet' or combating climate change.

7. We do support genuine honest green policies to preserve wildlife and biodiversity, reduce waste and reduce real chemical and smoke pollution. I suggest the Express helps sort out the honest green policies from the fraudulent trash.

Piers Corbyn, astrophysicist of WeatherAction long range weather & climate forecasters

And Roy Says:

I have to agree with what Dr Piers says here, people need to be brought to book for this. The burning question though is WHY have they done this?

Is it for money, research grants, politics, or what. The people deserve answers and  justice. Heads will have to roll over this one.

A further thought

I can see a major whistleblower coming out of the closet from the CO2 camp.

Somewhere from deep within a major player will see the end of the gravy train in sight and with newspapers like the Express willing to pay good money for someone's inside story there is a big opportunity for someone to bale out with a golden parachute and probably recover their person reputation at the the same time.

February 18 2010

There are calls for the pushers and the sceptics to come together and find common ground. Its not rocket science to see where this is leading, basically the pushers are about to 'water down' their predictions of disaster and do a lot of back peddling, to save face and the CO2 theory itself.

If I came up with a scientific theory about anything, the onus would be on me to prove it, not on others to disprove it. Yet a large section of the scientific community has taken this on board with what only can be described as a religious fervour.

What's worse they have ridiculed, personally attacked, and denigrated all who disagreed with them. People make their beds then have to lie on them.

It is a fact that mans activities affect the environment. Emissions of sulphur dioxide have caused acid rain, rivers have been polluted, and the burning of coal years ago caused smog's that took thousands of human lives.

But CO2, NO WAY. Its a completely natural occurring essential plant food gas. We have all been taken for a ride with what will eventually turn out to be the biggest fraud of all time. NO PRISONERS

Something I missed in January

Try this link::

A report for the IPCC includes reference to the fact that:

"The oceans are the world's great store of CO2, but the warmer they become, the less CO2 they can absorb. And forests dried out by increased temperatures tend to decay and release CO2 from their trees and soils."

It is interesting to bear this in mind next time you see Al Gores CO2 graph that he stands pontificating on in his "Unacceptable Truth" video. Yes CO2 levels do increase as temperature increases, because of what is explained above. So its the temperature driving the CO2 NOT the other way round.

One of the things that fascinates me about all this is that if you take to trouble to read everything that comes out from the 'hockey club' you will see them constantly contradicting each other.

March 30 2010

Professor James Lovelock makes some interesting comment that well worth reading.

"the earth's climate will not conveniently comply with the models of modern climate scientists.

As the record winter cold testifies, global temperatures move in "jerks and jumps", and we cannot confidently predict what the future holds."

Prof Lovelock does not pull his punches on the politicians and scientists who are set to gain from the idea that we can predict climate change and save the planet ourselves.

Scientists, he says, "have moved from investigating nature as a vocation, to being caught in a career path where it makes sense to "fudge the data". "

Here is the BBC link:

And more

The Gulf Stream does not appear to be slowing down, say US scientists who have used satellites to monitor tell-tale changes in the height of the sea.

Confirming work by other scientists using different methodologies, they found dramatic short-term variability but no longer-term trend.

A slow-down - dramatised in the movie The Day After Tomorrow - is projected by some models of climate change.

The research is published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

The stream is a key process in the climate of western Europe, bringing heat northwards from the tropics and keeping countries such as the UK 4-6C warmer than they would otherwise be.

April 14 2010

The 'climategate' inquiry has concluded that that there was no scientific malpractice at the climate research unit, so they are off the hook.

It is of course pure coincidence that the chairman of the inquiry panel Lord Oxburgh is currently president of the Carbon Capture and Storage Association and chairman of wind energy firm Falck Renewables.

April 22 2010

"The UK and continental Europe could be gripped by more frequent cold winters in the future as a result of low solar activity, say researchers."

So logically, solar activity could be responsible for global warming,........yes?

May 12 2010

Coldest night since 1966, mmm

June 2010

The current volcanic eruption going on in Iceland, since it first started spewing volcanic ash recently, has, to this point, NEGATED EVERY SINGLE EFFORT you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions on our planet.  Not only that, this single act of nature has added emissions to the earth estimated to be 42 times more than can be corrected by the extreme human regulations proposed for annual reductions.

We shall have to see what this causes to happen then wont we, planet meltdown?

Don't hold your breath.

August 2010

My home was a little paradise of exotic plants and koi carp, WAS.

The fall in temperatures have killed expensive New Zealand Ferns and most of my Palm Trees.

A few weeks ago I lost 2 of my carp, and one of my best looks iffy. They don't know what season it is.

If someone ,mentions "global warming" I will strangle them.

August 31 2010

A high-level inquiry into the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found there was “little evidence” for its claims about global warming.

It also said the panel had emphasised the negative impacts of climate change and made “substantive findings” based on little proof.

The review by the InterAcademy Council (IAC) was launched after the IPCC’s hugely embarrassing 2007 benchmark climate change report, which contained exaggerated and false claims that Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035.

The panel was forced to admit its key claim in support of global warming was lifted from a 1999 magazine article. The report was based on an interview with a little-known Indian scientist who has since said his views were “speculation” and not backed by research.

Independent climate scientist Peter Taylor said last night: “The IPCC’s credibility has been deeply dented and something has to be done. It can’t just be a matter of adjusting the practices. They have got to look at what are the consequences of having got it wrong in terms of what the public think is going on. Admitting that it needs to reform means something has gone wrong and they really do need to look at the science.”

(Daily Express 31/08/2010)

The guy who runs the IPCC has a PHD in economics (his only qualification) which  qualifies him for his job admirably. However now he aught to resign and go back to working on the railways as he did before he got on the gravy chain.

This commentary started in 2007 as the reader can see, nothing has been altered in any way or edited at a later date. As early as 2005 I was predicting a turn around in our climate whereby summers would become cooler and winters colder, I was laughed at by some people.

Look back to what I posted in December 2009, look at the Met Office's prediction for this summer:

"Next year could be the warmest year on record, the Met Office said as officials at UN talks in Copenhagen continued negotiations in a bid to secure a new deal to tackle climate change.

Well I said I would throw this sh*t back in their faces, so here it comes dudes.

On a serious note I think what is needed here is an international inquiry by people who are beyond reproach, such as senior judges, with a remit to look at all the respective arguments, the credentials and BACKGROUNDS of the people making them.

October 4 2010

With public doubts about 'man made climate change' at an all time high, this is where the war goes nasty.

A group calling itself "10:10", (connotations with 9:11?), have just made a video which is totally sickening. The outcry over this has caused it to be withdrawn, but not before it was posted on YouTube.

Follow this link to an article on the Daily Telegraph on line to watch it for yourself and make up your own mind.

What's worse, guess who's money paid for this offensive incitement to terrorism?

Answer on a postcard.

November 2010

Bit of interesting footage on YouTube

November 29 2010

Here we go again. Snow and ice in November, I wonder what's in store.

Look at this for a headline:

"Mid Wales recorded the lowest temperatures in the UK on Saturday night as bitter cold continued to bite.

Llysdinam in Powys saw -17.3C (0.86F), which is both the lowest ever recorded in Wales in November, and the lowest in the UK during the month since 1985.

Another Powys weather station at Tirabad, south of Llanwrtyrd Wells, saw a new local record of -14.3C (6F).

That made Wales colder than Greenland, with the chill continuing next week, and more snow possible from Tuesday."

I bet the Institute of Climate Studies wont be putting any of this data into their system!

December 1 2010

BBC Headline

Further snow and freezing temperatures are causing major problems for road, rail and air services in much of the UK, and thousands of schools are shut.

There are icy road warnings, and up to 15cm of snow could fall in some areas.

Many roads are gridlocked, some trains and buses have been cancelled, and Gatwick and Edinburgh airports will be closed until at least Thursday morning.

December 18 2010

Some motorways at a standstill and large areas of the country grinding to a halt.

December 26 2010

Minus 26 recorded in some parts of Wales. This is not 'official' well it wouldn't be now would it. Recorded by a farmer in north Wales and posted on the website.

However, surprise, surprise, according to 'scientists' 2010 is set to be one of the warmest years on record.

From the BBC website:

"The UK record, kept by the Met Office and the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia, has 2010 in joint first place with the El Nino-dominated year of 1998."

Its our old friend Professor Fixit, still going strong and no doubt still worth a "trick" or two.

Regardless of this, it seems that more scientists are coming out on their scepticism, October saw Prof Lewis, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, formally resigning from the American Physical Society after nearly 70 years as a member. He makes an interesting comment:

“It is, of course, the global warming scam, with the [literally] trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist.”

Well said!

While I am talking about the scientific community, its worth mentioning one little gem that has emanated from people who really should have more sense. The thing about the 'global warmers' and their fellow travellers is the degree of orchestration one encounters. They read something somewhere and straight away start repeating it without actually evaluating and examining what they are saying.

I first heard this some time ago and simply smiled and shook my head. Lets face it, when an individual or group whose ideas you oppose comes out with a load of the most completely brainless crap imaginable, the first thing that comes into an intelligent persons head is to let them get on with it and in so doing dig a deeper and deeper pit for themselves.

So what is this little gem?

"The molecules of carbon dioxide have the ability to trap heat"

I kid thee not, and this from people with a respectable depth of scientific knowledge. Like little thermos flasks?

So the next question is where do they get it from?

Presumably it would first appear in an article on a website or in some written work, get taken up on and repeated parrot fashion. But where would the idea have come from in the first place?

To answer this we have to take a look at the work of a Professor John Tyndall in the 19th century. Do not confuse this man with the ultra right politician of the same name who died recently.

Prof Tyndall performed a series of experiments in to what he described as " the ability of gasses to absorb heat at molecular level"

What he discovered was that heat travels through carbon dioxide at a much slower rate than ordinary air.

The ability of materials to absorb heat is synonymous with their ability to conduct it, what we today refer to as "thermal conductivity"

All materials , solids, liquids, and gasses conduct heat and absorb it to a greater or lesser degree. Copper has a very high thermal conductivity, about 400k, plastics have a very low one. This is why copper is used to manufacture soldering irons, it absorbs heat readily, and conducts it quickly into the material to be soldered. Polystyrene foam has a very low thermal conductivity, this is why it is used for insulation purposes. If you put you hand against it, it will feel warm. Its not warm its just that it will not absorb the heat of your hand so what you feel is actually the heat of your own hand.

Gasses also have differing heat absorption/conductivity properties. A vacuum conducts no heat at all, this is how a thermos flask works, your tea or coffee is surrounded by a vacuum so the heat cannot escape.

As I said, carbon dioxide has a lower thermal conductivity than ordinary air, this is what Prof Tyndall proved, and that is why it can be rightly regarded as a greenhouse gas.

Its worth commenting on however, that it behaves slightly differently to other greenhouse gasses in that it is a heavy gas. Generally greenhouse gasses tend to rise, water vapour is the main greenhouse gas, clouds are composed of water vapour, and clouds are up in the sky not swirling around our feet. (Unless you are on top of a mountain!)

It might be a good analogy to describe greenhouse gasses as the earths natural loft insulation!

Carbon dioxide is generally evenly dispersed in the air, at a ratio of about 0.04%, very low indeed. It can accumulate but being a heavy gas this happens in wells, caves, mines and the hulls of rusting ships due the oxidation of the iron.

Its all grist for the mill.

Moving on, its worth considering just exactly where all the momentum generates that carries so called "anthropogenic climate change" forward.

Well never before has the scientific community had so much money poured into a particular line of work. It takes a very brave scientist indeed to stand up and denounce this. The whole business of guilt and atonement forms part of every known religion, and as such is part of the natural human instinct. This possibly explains the readiness of politicians to throw huge amount of taxpayers (our) money into the pot.

Frankly I find it disgusting. At this time there is talk of the winter fuel payment (UK) being stopped, while at the same time the present coalition government has pledged to pour more money into this scam.

Source: Daily Express

"BRITAIN was yesterday given a £150billion blueprint to spearhead the world’s most radical fight against global warming.

But the sum – 20 times annual savings from planned welfare cuts – is likely to increase energy costs for households already facing soaring bills.

The Climate Change Committee says the huge investment is needed to deliver green transport, power and energy efficiency over 20 years."

So if some people have their way, while pensioners freeze the scammers laugh all the way to the bank.

Christmas Day 2010

December is on course to be the coldest since records began in 1910, the BBC weather centre has said.

Its reported by some friends that Wales dropped to minus 30 in the night, with minus 20 in the day.

Oh dear. I am not sure how this will fit into the 'anthropogenic climate model' but I bet they people working on it. Give the job to good old Professor Fixit at east Anglia, he is sure to come up with something.

27th December 2010

North America coming to s standstill under snow blizzards

Due to a failure of communication in the BBCs Climate Censorship Department this story accidentally got posted onto their website. Recommend read now before the error is discovered and it gets deleted.

Look at this picture of cars in New York

At least 3 of these cars have windows completely clear of snow!

Here is proof that man made global warming is real and is happening!

February 25 2011

Our weather has been quite mild through the new year, but just picked up this headline:

"San Francisco to get its first sea level snow for 30 years"

Over here prince Charles is getting upset over the climate sceptics, it seems to me that the biggest sceptic is the weather and there's jack that he or anyone cam do about that.

The usual terms used by the 'true believers' are "denialist" and "denialism", maybe English Language is not their strong point as neither of these two words exist in the dictionary.

June 6 2011

Not much been happening.

After lovely if somewhat cool weather in April and May we are into June and last night had to have the fire on. I was in Wales end of May and at 11.00 in the morning my car thermometer was recording 9.5 degrees C outside temperature.

Just had a week down Cornwall, first Friday and Sat of June went up to a max of 22.5 C, then back down on the Sunday.

The relevance of all this is that some idiots were forecasting " a heat wave that would last all through June and July". It was on the news, well it would be wouldn't it? Cant remember the source though. If anyone knows this can you please email me?

Oh by the way, guess what? The interpretation board at the end of Cot Valley shown at the start of this page has disappeared.

I wonder why?

Removed officially for being politically incorrect or destroyed by the holy brethren?

June 9th 2011

We actually had snow on Snowdon summit, wasn't in the news for some reason, I again wonder why?

October 2011

Well 'summer' is at an end and the 'heatwave' predicted by earlier in the year a splashed with glee and excitement by the media never materialised. Now the weather is getting colder. I wonder what kind of winter we going to have.

I am trying to keep this blog up to speed but there is not really much happening, its all gone very quiet.

November 2011

Still not much happening, its becoming a trite boring, however the cold war may yet hot up

Two professors involved with the BEST (Berkeley Earth and Surface Temperature) project are now at loggerheads.

From the Daily Express:

"Prof Richard Muller had spent two years trying to discover if the mainstream scientists were wrong but concluded they were right. Temperatures are rising and his results, he concluded, “proved you should not be a sceptic, at least not any longer”. Case closed.

But is it? Not according to Prof Judith Curry, a member of Prof Muller’s team, who claims the same findings have shown that global warming has stopped – plunging the rest of us into a quandary of what and who to believe.

When Prof Curry heard that Prof Muller was saying that the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) findings would put an end to climate change scepticism for good she was horrified. “This isn’t the end of scepticism,” she exclaimed.

“To say that is the biggest mistake he has made. When I saw he was saying that I just thought, ‘Oh my God.’”

It seems that temperatures indeed haven't risen in the last 13 years, yet the volume of CO2 in the atmosphere most certainly has. This lends credibility to the above Prof Curry's scepticism.

We shall have to see how this winter goes. I think that if its a bad one it will be the final nail in the coffin of so called 'anthropogenic climate change' as far as public opinion goes. We shall have to see.

I have to admire the Daily Express for its forthright reporting on this controversial issue. Don't trust the bloody BBC (British Brainwashing Corporation)

More thoughts:

Although late in the hour I have just come back into my office and restarted the computer in order to express something that has just come into my mind. I understand that David Cameron our esteemed prime minister has indicated that he will not be attending the next 'climate change summit', basically, he has better things to do. I don't really blame him , its not difficult to see his point.

I well remember the last one. Independent television was interviewing attendees and subtitled  on the bottom of the screen was who they were. Well one attendee was described as a ' social entrepreneur'.

Well I cannot help but see that a self styled 'social entrepreneur' and a high level conference on man made climate change were just made for each other.

February 2012

Well, looking forward to the end of the winter and rejoicing in the fact that we had a mild one so far it now seems that the cold is upon us, but fortunately, nowhere near as bad as last year.

Its Friday the 3rd and they bare forecasting down to minus 12 in some places.

Mmm, this gem from the BBC website:

"Many parts of Europe have been considerably worse off, with a big freeze already claiming more than 100 lives in the Ukraine alone.

In Italy, weather experts said it was the coldest week for 27 years"

It was on the ITV News last night as well.

Winter of 2009/10 the whole northern hemisphere was under ice, but it was never reported. It seems that now the truth is slipping through. I wont say anything about 'a wind of change', its more a gentle breeze as yet.

February 22 2012

Keeping my fingers crossed, with March almost upon us we may be out of the woods as far as a hard winter goes, more than can be said for elsewhere in the world. From the Times on line:

More than 40 people have died in Algeria’s cold spell. Unprecedented amounts of the white stuff have also caused widespread chaos. The northern tip of Africa has been hit by the same weather systems that caused recent freezing temperatures in Europe

At least six people were killed including four of a family and four others were injured Saturday after a passenger van they were traveling in was hit by a landslide in Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said. (Photo shows avalanche)

Record snow fall continues in Japan.

Temperatures across India plummeted rapidly in the second week of January. Since then, the western Himalayas have witnessed heavy snow and the northern plains have remained chilly. Central India and parts of south India have had record-breaking cold spells.

A strong cold snap has swept China, with regions north of the Yangze River experiencing drastic drops in temperature. China is experiencing an unusually colder winter than usual and temperatures will continue to fall until mid-February, meteorologists said.

More than 650 people have died from the deadly cold in Eastern Europe. Since the end of January, the region has been pummeled by the deep freeze, which has brought the heaviest blizzards in recent memory. Authorities in Russia said 205 people have died this year in the frigid cold, while Ukraine has had 112 cold fatalities and Poland had 107. Seven people have died in Romania in the past 24 hours, bringing the total there to 86 deaths. In Lithuania, there have been 23 deaths. Deaths were also reported in Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.

On Saturday, the death toll from Europe’s big freeze rose past 550. The Danube river, already closed to shipping for hundreds of kilometres (miles) because of thick ice, froze over in Bulgaria for the first time in 27 years. Montenegro’s capital of Podgorica was brought to a standstill by snow 50 centimetres (20 inches) deep, a 50-year record. Serbia has started implementing power cuts in a desperate bid to stave off the collapse of its national grid as the country suffers the effects of days of freezing temperatures.

And its not just this continent either, North America is in the same situation.

Jacksonville, Florida recorded a record low for Feb. 12 of 24 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 4 degrees Celsius), according to the National Weather Service.

Here is an image that says it all:

Syria is very much in the news lately. Anyone noticed anything about the countryside?

Into March and after some nice spring weather we get it.

From the BBC website, March 4 2012:

The heaviest April snowfall in Yorkshire for 30 years caused disruption across the region with poor driving conditions and road closures.

July 2012

I was down in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago an I am very pleased to be able to advise that the geological interpretation board is back at the seaward end of Cot Valley, St Just. I hope that stays there. See the beginning of my blog. Its been going for 5 years now and I have stuck my head well and truly above the parapet a few times, and ended up being right. As early as 2005 I was telling people that the weather was going to turn in the other direction, and I was laughed at.

So who is laughing now?

Moving on, the summer that never was has seen large areas of the country washed out, literally. I await the winter with some apprehension.

In the meantime, this little gem from a chain email:

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before
ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.
Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable

I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington
Post 89 years ago.

January 2013

Things have been really quiet and I have been left with nothing to write about. In December North America was having it bad and now ( 18th Jan) heavy snow is disrupting large areas of the British Isles.

Nothing unusual in this, it is winter so what else can we expect?

But good old BBC website this morning has managed to 'balance' the reporting of the bad weather by cleverly inserting a story about Sidney Australia having the hottest day on record under the same collective banner:

Snow updates: Schools, traffic and travel latest

Hundreds of schools are closed and transport has been disrupted as a band of heavy snow affects most of the UK

UK prepares for snow disruption

Sydney bakes in hottest day on record

What Sydney Australia has to do with UK weather conditions is a bit challenging to figure out. A bit blatant, just keep it up, just keep it up

February 9 2013

USA is having very little global warming lately, this off the BBC website:

Thick snow is blanketing the north-eastern US and eastern Canada as a major storm cuts power to thousands of homes and plays havoc with transport.

Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut and Maine are all on an emergency footing, with millions of residents being warned to stay indoors.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has temporarily banned all non-essential traffic on the state's roads.

Meteorologists say the storm could be New England's worst for decades.

March 1st 2013

From the BBC website:

Northern Japan usually has a high snow fall but this year's has broken all records.

At one spot south of the city of Aomori the snow blanket is more than five metres (16ft) thick, the most ever recorded.

Rupert Wingfield-Hayes reported this with the comment : "this could be due to global warming"

So there we have our answer!

What is worrying is the possibility that if global warming keeps increasing we shall be seeing more and more snow and ice everywhere.

March 24 2013

There are sections of the whole country grinding to a standstill due to exceptionally heavy snow falls, yesterday part of the M54 was closed, as was the M6 at Shap and a lot of other major roads. Thousands are without electricity and communities are running out of food.

"Forecasters have predicted that it could be the coldest March since 1962, when average temperatures for the month were 2.8C."

This from the BBC website which made a bold effort of burying it under a leader on the subject of the role that dads play at childbirth

and the very next day:

The UK Met Office has revised one of its forecasts for how much the world may warm in the next few years.

It says the average temperature is likely to be 0.43 C above the long-term average by 2017, as opposed to an earlier forecast suggesting a difference of 0.54C.

The explanation is that a new kind of computer model using different parameters has been used.

Well surely if one applies a little logic this has to cast doubt on whatever computer model they use, YES?

April 2013

March declared the coldest on record.

Read back and we had an April coldest on record previously.

June 2013

And now the Met office declare the coldest spring for 50 years.

Now I can remember one of the 'global warming' crowd being interviewed on TV by Trevor McDonald and explaining earnestly that ' a future Britain will have a Mediterranean type climate and we will be growing mangoes and cassava'

This blog has now been going for about 6 years, I have never changed anything in it, you can read back what I have said from the beginning.

January 2014

Mild weather here in the UK but constantly being battered by storms.

Elsewhere though:

from the USA;

A winter storm has blanketed parts of Canada and the north-eastern US with up to 2ft (61cm) of snow.

The storm has been blamed for 11 deaths and forced the cancellation of more than 4,000 flights since Wednesday.

With the wind chill, the temperature dropped as low as -29C (-20F) in Toronto and -38C in Quebec City, the lowest seen in two decades.

There have also been ships ice stranded in Antarctica which is supposed to be warming up.

Something to think about here. We are told that temperatures gave been increasing steadily since the mid 19th century, the start of industrialization, and this is due to increasing CO2 in the atmosphere caused by burning fossil fuels.

But look at this:

World's coldest temperatures

  • Antarctica: -89.2C (-128.5F) recorded on 21 Jul 1983 at Vostok
  • N America: -63.0C (-81.4F) recorded on 3 Feb 1947 in Yukon Territory, Canada
  • Europe: -58.1C (-72.6F) recorded on 31 Dec 1978 in Ust 'Schugor, Russia
  • South America: -32.8C (-27F) recorded on 1 June 1907 in Sarmiento, Argentina
  • Africa: -23.9C (-11F) recorded on 11 Feb 1935 in Ifrane, Morocco
  • Australia: -23C (-9.4F) recorded on 29 Jun 1994 in Charlotte Pass, New South Wales

Something not looking right here?

More from the BBC website:

6 January 2014 Last updated at 11:49 GMT

Officials in the US have been urging people to stay indoors as temperatures in parts of North America plummet.

The authorities in Indianapolis, Chicago and St Louis warned people to stay at home.

Parts of the US are braced for potentially record-breaking low temperatures as a "polar vortex" brings freezing weather.

Looks like their censorship is failing somewhere.

8 January 2014

Weather records have tumbled across North America, as all 50 US states saw freezing temperatures.

Some parts of the Midwest hit -26C (-14F), as low as the Antarctic coast in winter, and much colder than the inside of a domestic freezer.

Temperature records were shattered in states across the US, including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Michigan, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.

It was -17C (1F) in the small town of Hell, Michigan, prompting online jokes that the weather was so bad even hell had frozen over.

But it was Embarrass, Minnesota, that experienced the lowest temperature in the nation on Tuesday: -37C (-35F).

That was colder than readings recently recorded on the Red Planet by the Mars Rover.

11th January 2014

Parts of the US and Canada are braced for potentially record-breaking low temperatures as a blast of arctic air blows across North America.

A winter storm has already blanketed areas of Canada and the north-eastern US with up to 2ft (60cm) of snow.

Some 3,700 flights were cancelled on Monday, on top of thousands grounded over the weekend.

Schools have been closed in several US states and residents urged to stay indoors for their own safety.

The storm and the deep cold have been blamed for 16 deaths in recent days.

30th January 2014

Things in the USA are still bad weather-wise with an interesting new twist in that states in the deep south are having at as well with 3 inches of snow falling in Atlanta of all places.

From news sources:

The latest cold snap stretched across much of the US on Wednesday, sending temperatures as low as -34C (-30F).

Here in the UK it continues mild but very wet with huge areas of the Somerset countryside under flood water.

13th February 2014

The storms here in the UK are wreaking havoc, and vast areas of countryside are under water. On the BBC website 'global warming' started to creep in to the arguments and then suddenly disappeared. Not difficult to see why in the light of news from the United States. From the same source:

"A huge winter storm is affecting the densely populated US north-east, after wreaking havoc in the South.

Across the typically mild South, more than half a million homes and businesses lack power, and thousands of flights have been cancelled.

The mammoth storm has affected people in about 22 states from Texas to Maine and caused at least 12 deaths.

The most crowded swathe of the US - between Washington DC and Boston - is braced for up to 8in (20cm) of snow.

A band stretching from North-eastern Pennsylvania through New York State's Hudson Valley and into New England could see 10-20in of snow on Thursday, the National Weather Service warned.

The storm, described by the National Weather Service as an event of "historical proportions", leaves in its southern wake a wreckage of snapped tree limbs and power lines coated in as much as an inch of ice, motorways turned to car parks, road accidents, and residents shivering in darkened homes.

Forecasters said it was one of the worst storms to strike Atlanta, the largest city in the South, since 1973.

Thousands of vehicles have been backed up on snow-covered motorways around Raleigh, North Carolina, with some people abandoning their vehicles."

Bet Al Gore has gone into hiding LOL

I think that there is definitely something going on though. Now Climate Change has been happening for 120,000 years and will probably keep happening for another 120,000 years if the Earth lasts that long. But what has been going on in the USA and here in England was sudden and extreme. Climate Change doesn't do sudden. Talk to a geologist and when they mention a "relatively short timescale" they can be talking 1000 years!

And what about all of the earthquakes in recent years?

How long before people start wondering if the cause of those could be the same thing as is causing extremities of weather conditions?

Don't expect the scientists to spend any time on though, no money in it!

24th March 2014

Met office releases a new report:

British winters are likely to become milder and wetter like the last one but cold spells still need to be planned for, says the UK Met Office.

Summers are likely to be hotter and drier, but washouts are still on the cards, it adds.

The assessment of future weather extremes finds the role of human influence is "detectable" in summer heatwaves and in intense rainfall.

However, the Met Office says a lot more work must be done to confirm the links.

Might even stay the same, who knows.

2nd April 2014

A pollution warning relative to sand from the Sahara desert has been issued, but the BBC were not slow to see the possibilities of this as the still from their web below illustrates. I will have to have my exhaust checked for sand emissions, maybe it will come into the MOT.

Oh yes, and while I am on, more earthquakes. This one in Chile and 8.2 on the Richter scale.

This blog has been going on since 2007, I wonder if there is a 'contract' out on me yet.

Jolly old hockey sticks

This is interesting

"A website set up by a student at Harvard teaches us to look carefully at statistics. And it's fun at the same time.

"Margarine consumption linked to divorce." If you saw that headline on a newspaper or website, what would you think?

What if you read a little further and found a compelling graph showing the rates of divorce and margarine consumption tracking each other closely over almost 10 years.

Tempted to believe there could be a link?

"Maybe when there's more margarine in the house it's more likely to cause divorce," muses Tyler Vigen, "or there's a link with some of the molecules in margarine or something."

Vigen is the man behind the margarine graph, which he published on his website Spurious Correlations. The name gives the game away - he's a statistical provocateur.

"I've seen a lot of headlines, especially sensationalist ones - 'Scientists find a connection between x and y,' he says."

"In a lot of those situations there might be a correlation, but it's really important for us to be critical about whether there's a causal mechanism."

This is a typical graph showing the relation between CO2 and temperature plucked randomly off the Internet.

Personally, I think the margarine/divorce one is lot more convincing, 99% correlation just cant be coincidence. Governments should act NOW!

A good first step would be to set up an International Panel on Margarine Driven Divorce (IPMDD) followed by a taxpayer funded official trust which could possibly for a start run an advertising campaign to wean married couples over to butter. With the institution of marriage at stake and the burden on the divorce courts to consider it could be the biggest challenge facing mankind.

Human beliefs, what a strange area, just picked this up of the BBC website, nothing to do with climate change but of interest all the same. To me it says it all.

Plans to build a new road in Iceland ran into trouble recently when campaigners warned that it would disturb elves living in its path. Construction work had to be stopped while a solution was found.

Bottom line, well, people will believe in anything.

November 2014

Its been quite on the battlefield for some time, but:

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says in a stark report that most of the world's electricity can - and must - be produced from low-carbon sources by 2050. The unrestricted use of fossil fuels should be phased out by 2100 if the world is to avoid dangerous climate change.

Without concerted action on carbon, temperatures will increase over the coming decades and could be almost 5C above pre-industrial levels by the end of this century

Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC said:

"We have the means to limit climate change. The solutions are many and allow for continued economic and human development. All we need is the will to change, which we trust will be motivated by knowledge and an understanding of the science of climate change.

The scientific case for prioritising action on climate change was clearer than ever, but we have little time before the window of opportunity to stay within 2C of warming closes.

To keep a good chance of staying below 2C, and at manageable costs, our emissions should drop by 40% to 70% globally between 2010 and 2050, falling to zero or below by 2100"

This is the same guy who gave us the melting Himalayan glaciers by 2035. But later admitted that he had read it somewhere in a magazine!

Sunday Sport?

Well, whatever, fossil fuels wont last forever and I suppose they are certainly being very liberal on the time scale, so I expect something good to come out of it anyway. The funny thing here, I have said all along that is all a load of tosh but look what comes out of all this. Regulations about insulation of new homes gives us lower fuel bills, cars are having to be made more economical, I could almost place my tongue firmly in my cheek and change sides!

Back on track I heard a new saying that I really like, I love this one:

Carbon pollution

Fantastic, I just hope that they keep it up.

November 2014

Global warming in the US seems to be on the wane, from the BBC website:

Another 3ft (1m) of snow is expected to hit parts of north-eastern US after a massive snowstorm left at least seven dead in New York state on Wednesday.

Weather-related deaths were also reported in New Hampshire and Michigan.

Parts of the city of Buffalo are already under 5ft of snow. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called the snowstorm a "historic event".

The National Weather Service said some places could have topped the record for a single day of snowfall, which stands at 6ft 4in.

Anyone interested in history would do well to look behind the events, and a good direction is to simply 'follow the money'. We are all manipulated and conned from the word go by governments and big business.

13th January 2015

From the BBC website:

Temperatures across much of the northern and eastern US are plunging to "dangerously cold" levels, the National Weather Service says.

High winds mean wind-chill temperatures are forecast to drop as low as -50F (-45C) in Minnesota.

The freeze has led to the closure or late running of schools from north to south, from the Dakotas to Alabama.

Winter weather warnings have been issued for 17 US states and for Ontario and southern Quebec.

In other developments:

  • heavy snow and blizzards forecast in North and South Dakota
  • temperatures will plunge to -44F (-42C) in Fargo, North Dakota
  • schools are closed in Chicago, in -28F (-33C) temperatures
  • a storm dumped about a foot (30cm) of snow in northern New York
  • another foot of "lake-effect" snow is expected in parts of New York state over the next two days

In the north-east, temperatures were expected to drop further on Wednesday following an arctic blast of air that could produce wind gusts of up to 40mph (64km/h).

More Global Warming

from BBC website:

A "potentially historic blizzard" could dump up to 90cm (3ft) of snow on the US north-east coast, the National Weather Service (NWS) has warned.

New York's mayor said the storm could be the city's biggest ever, telling residents to "prepare for the worst".
Heavy snowfall is forecast from Philadelphia to Maine. More than 3,000 flights have already been cancelled.
A blizzard warning has been issued for New York and Boston from Monday afternoon until Tuesday.

More than 1,800 flights on Monday and more than 1,600 on Tuesday had been cancelled, according to the website FlightAware.
Airports in New York, Boston and Philadelphia have already been affected.

Speaking on Sunday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio showed journalists a list of the city's top 10 snowstorms, dating back to 1872.
"This could be the biggest snowstorm in the history of this city," Mr de Blasio said, telling New Yorkers to "prepare for something worse than we have seen before".
"Prepare to be safe, take every precaution. Now is the time to get ready for this extreme weather."
Some residents have already begun stocking up on food, water and other essential items.
New York's biggest snowstorm on record was in 2006, when nearly 70cm of snow fell.

An interesting snippet from BBC website:

Ice climber scales frozen Niagara Falls

Bet this gets a lot less publicity than the guy who tried to cross the north pole in a canoe to 'prove' global warming.

February 2015

Spain now of all places

Spanish emergency services have rescued at least 220 people trapped by snow on roads in northern Spain.

Hundreds of cars were stuck for up to 17 hours overnight on roads between Cantabria and the province of Palencia.

Local media report temperatures of -15C (5F) and up 40cm (1.3ft) of snow.

February 17 2015

North America at a standstill

Areas of the north-east US have shut down as heavy snow falls across the entire region.
More than 5000 flights have been cancelled and over 2ft (60cm) of snow is predicted in some areas.
Meteorologists say winds of over 70 mph (112km/h) are expected.
The national weather service has described the storm as "potentially historic".

April 2015

Another earthquake this time in Nepal, its a huge human tragedy.

For some years scientists have linked earthquakes to abnormal solar activity, I wonder if this could also be the cause of......

No I wont say it.

Carbon Pollution

I have tracked down where this came from. Apparently if anything, even a naturally occurring substance, is produced to an excessive level whereby it causes harm, then it becomes a pollutant.

Right, sounds fair enough

So flooding is caused by rain pollution.

The Comedians

From the BBC website:

England is set for more record-breaking warm years like 2014, say scientists.
The chances of England experiencing an exceptionally warm year is 13 times more likely due to human influences on climate, a study suggests.

2014 was the UK's warmest since records began in 1910.

The research, published in Environmental Research Letters, is based on climate models and temperature records for England dating back to 1659.
Dr Andrew King from the University of Melbourne is the lead researcher.
"Both of our approaches showed that there is a significant and substantial increase in the likelihood of very warm years occurring in central England," he said.
Dr Peter Stott, of the Met Office Hadley Centre, said the new findings added to evidence that human-induced climate change was increasing the chances of record-breaking temperatures around the world, including in the UK.
"At the Met Office we produced similar research late last year showing how climate change had made UK record breaking temperatures about 10 times more likely,"

I live in 'central England' and can remember when temperatures reached the staggering height of about 26C last year for several days. Wow, I had better get the air con fixed on my car, it went down a couple of years ago and I didn't think I would need it. I'll be lucky to survive without it.

If you 'cherry pick' your data you can come up with anything, wasn't this what they were caught out on?

Just before Easter they were forecasting soaring temperatures about now, I am sitting in my office with the fire on.

Basically we are being conned, and what's more they have been caught (again) with their trousers down. It seems that when they fiddled the data they forgot that surface temperatures are being independently checked by satellite and other means.

Oh dear.

Here is a bit more from a more recent article:

The way it looks to me is that some scientists, and I mean scientists whom other scientists rely on for their data, became so convinced of the CO2 - Global warming thing that when data did not not support what they expected it was tweaked in the expectation that things would change to the way that they wanted them to. And when this didn't happen, they got deeper and deeper in to the extent that the whole deception becomes obvious.

This could bring the whole scam crashing down like a house of cards.

I can give a good piece of advice here.

Never underestimate or denigrate your own intelligence.

Anyone can call themselves an expert on whatever they please. If something you are being told sounds like utter tripe then it probably is.

I have had to put this in as it really is nail on the head:

“there is still a strong belief system that greenhouse gases control the climate, and so if that is your belief system, then it doesn’t really matter what the evidence shows.”

Dr. John Christy, professor of atmospheric science and director of the Earth System Science Center (ESSC) at the University of Alabama/Huntsville

I would like to speculate at this time on where things are likely to go, I have a pretty accurate track record on this so far.

The Internet is covered with the arguments and counter arguments of the two camps, with personal attacks, fallacies, dirty tricks and twisted counter arguments prevailing. Its a war of words where rational scientific debate was the first casualty.

The whole global warming lobby is now showing cracks with increasing numbers of people reverting to type and going into self preservation mode. I have said before that whistle blowers will start coming out of the woodwork, this will be an increasing trend. Advice to anyone involved in this is watch your back.

I think that the whole thing will eventually self destruct, it'll be like watching a road accident.

BBC News website

'Substantial' El Nino event predicted

A major El Nino event is being forecast for the end of year around September, so we shall wait and see. However, the news release included this little gem:

"El Nino had been expected during last year's record-breaking temperatures, but failed to materialise."

Now I wonder why

and more

The El Nino effect, which can drive droughts and flooding, is under way in the tropical Pacific, say scientists.

God, both at the same time!

Right, task list.

Get air con fixed on car ready for sweltering summer

Get windows boarded up around September ready for the plague of locusts or whatever

Anyway, its getting chilly so I had better go and put the heating on.

What's it all about? We take a pause

Right, for the benefit of anyone having difficulty following all this, here is the current position.

CO2 pollution has hit the new record level of 0.04%

Some explanation. Although a naturally occurring plant food gas, CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) it is now regarded by the pushers as a 'pollutant'  due to its high levels, as I have already mentioned.

The Global Warming pushers will describe the current level as "400 ppm" (parts per million) because it sounds better, giving the figure as a percentage could start ordinary people thinking, and they don't want that to happen.

To continue, to 'prove' the theory that such as small increase in CO2 is causing rising temperatures the pushers need to try to establish that world surface temperatures are at a record high. If you think about it, they have to do this or the theory will fall flat on its face now wont it?

Unfortunately, the data being collected does not substantiate this, so in their minds the data must be wrong, so they 'tweak' it.

Very simple if you think about it.

Their plaster for the sore is that the raw data needs 'processing' to iron out any 'discrepancies'. Well the data is collected from weather stations which are designed under established best practice procedures.

From the article:

Except for those instruments requiring direct exposure to the elements (anemometer, rain gauge), the instruments should be sheltered in a vented box, usually a Stevenson screen, to keep direct sunlight off the thermometer and wind off the hygrometer. The instrumentation may be specialized to allow for periodic recording otherwise significant manual labour is required for record keeping. Automatic transmission of data, in a format such as METAR, is also desirable as many weather station's data is required for weather forecasting.

So what are they telling us, that their weather stations are inaccurate and that they have to use computer software to put the data right?

They insult our intelligence

I think I had better show you what they are doing, you can form your own conclusions. Top graph is 'raw' data, the bottom one is after it has been 'processed'

It very much looks like everyone has all of their money on the table and are playing their last hand.

I don't know about 'saving' carbon, I think it will need a defibrillator.

Moving on

A BBC interview very much worth watching can be seen at:

It deals with the disappearing ice up at Antarctica, and yes this is a fact, up to 4 metres has gone since 1998. So why has a self proclaimed 'denialist' put this link into his blog?

Well, from this interview two things emerge, the most important is that most of the ice is disappearing from below not from the surface, in fact it is stated that the sea blow the ice has warmed up by 1.5 degrees C.

The second that emerges is that very noticeable by its absence is any use of the phrases "climate change" or "global warming", instead the interviewee uses the phrase "warming trend".

The attraction of the middle ground increases, as does the possibility of the loss of ice being caused by changing currents.

Just bumped this on the web.

It seems that back in 2008 some pratt (sorry scientist) was forecasting that the arctic would be completely fee of ice by this year.

Read about it here:

A lot of this stuff is really good for a laugh, so go pour yourself a drink and enjoy.

1st June 2015

10.5 degrees outside and had to put the fire on. Of course this 10.5 degrees is only 'raw data', we all know that its is only that low because it has not been 'processed' and that its actually much warmer. LOL

A few comments

Since the whole business of CO2 driven global warming started it has generated a momentum all of its own. All of the scientists, politicians and whoever who are involved with this are in a great big hole. One can easily compare with say a runaway train where all of passengers know that eventually the train is going to crash, but can hardly jump off knowing this would be certain death. So they find themselves with no choice but to stay on board and hope that they survive the crash.

The big laugh is that they now seem to be falling out amongst themselves with the Met office moving towards the centre and confirming that there has been no appreciable global warming for the last fifteen years. This has provoked attacks from the high priests and professional alarmists.

We have seen a lot of new words and phrases enter the language from this, "carbon pollution", "carbon footprint" etc.

Well here is a new one, "carbon failure"

I like it!

November 10 2015

This has just appeared on the BBC website:

Global temperatures are set to rise more than one degree above pre-industrial levels according to the UK's Met Office.
Figures from January to September this year are already 1.02C above the average between 1850 and 1900.
If temperatures remain as predicted, 2015 will be the first year to breach this key threshold.

The image below clearly shows the UK to be within the area of warming!

In June they were telling us that it was set to be the coldest June ever on record, maybe these guys should get together more often.

Best part about it, on the BBC website they have " Wintry blast hits China" with up to 15 cm of snow and temperatures down to minus 8C

On the same page and right next to each other!

You couldn't make this up

But by 10.0 the China story had been 'killed' on the front page

I wonder why

You can still get it here:

November 2016

Donald Trump has just been elected president of the United States of America. I can now comfortably predict that the climate war is about to hot up. Its the beginning of the end, the party's over. Data fixers, hidden agendas, and vested interests all to be exposed. Oh Dear.

I have decided to end this blog which has been running for 9 years for several reasons.

1/ People are fed up with hearing about climate change and I don't want to bore people to death

2/ While the two sides of the debate have been banging on at each other in the background technology is moving forward and in a few years the demand for fossil fuel will diminish. This is great as too much money has been flowing to countries who least deserve it. Tesla are developing home power banks which could be topped up by solar panels and recharged at night time when the demand for electricity is low. More and more electric cars will appear on the roads.

3/ The pushers of the theory of anthropogenic climate change have been slowly back-pedalling about its consequences. Many scientists who pushed this in the past will be looking at damage limitation when it all falls apart. It needs no help from me.

4/ What may or may not happen in a few hundred years is of no consequence and by then the earth will probably have been hit by a meteorite, Jihadists will have got hold of thermonuclear weapons and sent us all to Allah as non believers, or the human race will have died out due to plague or whatever as a result of our comfortable lifestyles making us all physically weaker.

Now I will reopen the blog in the event that certain things happen.

a/ I rethink it all and feel that I aught to admit that I am wrong.

b/ One side or the other starts killing people in their belief.

As a final note, remember the TV adds which were banned by the Advertising Standards Authority showing 'Denialists' as they call non believers being blown up?

Well this was years before Islamic State but a sharp lesson in where 'belief' can take us. BE WARNED.
